Monitoring and Evaluation (M & E)
We have invested in a robust Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system as a way to effectively monitor our interventions. Setting up the Information Communications for Development Department (ICT4D), sets in motion the idea to go paperless through adoption of digital technologies and tools to capture, maintain, analyse and access our beneficiary data via the cloud.
The comprehensive pigad M & E system consists of the Performance Measurement Framework (PMF) and the Indicator tracking Tool.
Data collection tools used
In order to improve the quality of agricultural data collection and analysis, a mobile based data collection system ( KoBoCollect) was introduced.
The following data collection tools were developed and configured in KoBoCollect:
- Farmer Registration Tool
- Monthly Farmer monitoring tool
- Group Maturity Index (GMI) tool
Success stories are documented monthly, to show the impact of the project and to gather feedback on what works best for farmers.
