Chicken Brooding

Chicken Brooding

Poultry farmers in Murehwa learning the art and science of rearing Day-Old-Chicks (DOC’s). The farmers get the practical demonstration on setting up an artificial brooder. We prioritizes skills development through practice. Every skill requires constant practice and application, thus pigad learning designs require that farmers develop, practice and apply thinking skills on a continuous basis, preferably in a way that starts with small steps and leads eventually to larger ones. Brooding is essential to optimize the bird’s health and contributes to a good performance and survival in later life.
