Bumper harvest from Sygenta maize seed
Forbes Mhonderwa, a lead farmer in ward 12 Marondera, managed to get a bumper harvest from Syngenta maize seed despite poor rainfall experienced this season. He
bought 10kgs of MRI 624 Sygenta maize seed which was subsidized by pigad. Planting was done through Conservation Agriculture. Chicken manure was used as basal fertilizer and a split application of Ammonia Nitrate also subsidized by pigad.
