Partners for Integrated Growth and Development (pigad) is a duly registered Zimbabwean Non-Governmental Organisation. The organisation`s vision is to empower communities through relief, rehabilitation and development programmes. Currently, pigad is implementing a livelihood agribusiness development intervention in Mashonaland East and Manicaland Provinces. It is pigad’s plan to expand to other provinces in Zimbabwe.
pigad is proposing to implement a multi-year poultry-related agribusiness project with the overall objective to increase incomes for smallholder farmers (youths) through egg production, value addition, and marketing. The project will take a pure business approach.
The aim of the feasibility study is to provide a sound basis for the possibility of replication of the current agribusiness intervention to achieve the envisioned project objective by clarifying prerequisites, assumptions, opportunities and potential risks in targeted areas.
Sound experience in the evaluation and feasibility studies of multi-sectoral projects. Proven experience in conducting quality feasibility studies, evaluations and assessing agribusiness development programmes. Extensive experience in agribusiness interventions for smallholder farmers with a focus on poultry (table eggs) sector including the full value chain, socio-economic and political situation in Zimbabwe. The Evaluator should be fluent in English and Shona and have excellent communication and writing skills.
